man thats a break through if they did break 1000hp. Was it really worth it.....i mean they had to put 100k or more in the car to reach those kinds of numbers. When it might not even preform better than a car with 700-800whp. I dono.....but thats huge for the EJ series motors! great find

definitely not 100k. you can get a built/bulletproof crate engine for like 10-15, add to that the turbo, fuel system, and all the custom fabrication and I'd say its in the 30k range plus the car.

What I really dont get is why build a suby boxer engine for topend/insane hp when clearly the engine is not made for that? I mean, take an evo and invest half the money and you got a 8-9-10 second car easily.

a wrx/sti is made more for fun daily driving, off roading/rally, and mainly mid range power IMHO.....not to be a topend monster. lets face it: the boxer cant compete with inline engines like the 4g63 for peak power numbers.

Its an interesting build and pretty cool, but I'd NEVER want to build a 1000hp wrx.

it would be pretty easy to make mine into a 1000awhp evo but it would suck ass at everything but drag racing.
