I don't think it will get a turbo. The engine sets back further so the usual Subaru setup won't work. It's also lower in the car so the Legacy GT style setup with the turbo being mounted on the bottom in the manifold wouldn't work either. The Toyota/Scion version doesn't list a turbo option yet either..Its still to early to count a turbo out though weather it be factory or aftermarket. From the Toyota specs the motor isn't designed for a turbo with a 12.5:1 CR.
Subaru is showing off the STi model at the autoshow in December but all they mention about it was it had a better suspension, and carbon fiber bits vs the standard model.
I'm surprised at how light they got it. My car weighs 2800lbs and that was back before some of the luxury they started putting in the newer models which have the newer WRX/STi pushing close to 3500lbs.
