definately looks and sounds solid...
just out of curiousity, why so conservative on the boost side of the house? It seems to me like you have a lot more you can safely push out...? anyone please feel free to correct me if i am wrong...

Efficiency IMHO. I actually applaud tuners that get every single horsepower out of a certain pressure range instead of just ramping up boost to the limit, throwing lots of fuel at it and then dealing with knock by retarding timing at peak boost. Less boost = less stress = more efficient (assuming the timing is not advanced so much that it is knocking)
Just my take on it.
*edit: of course this is assuming the tune is spot on and producing good power which in this case it clearly is.

horsepower is horsepower...if you're making 500awhp with 20psi and 30* of timing it's no safer on the internals than 500awhp with 30psi and 15* of timing if both pushing the limits of the octane.
If your tuner is quelling knock with fuel, they don't know what they are doing, that's a different issue.
btw, these figures are just an example, not real.

True that, but what I was getting at is that some people (obviously not you ) just ramp up the boost/fuel without taking the time to REALLY work on it. The good tuners are the ones that produce MAXIMUM hp per pressure range assuming there is no knock present.
Which reminds me of a question I have for you. I made some logs of a friends evo and noticed that he has about 10-14 counts of knock in various rpm ranges. I always assumed that safe=0 counts of knock everywhere. This evo has already been tuned by someone previously. What kind of knock is "acceptable" or should I just keep assuming that anything over 0 knock is bad?
Subaru's have a slightly different way of showing knock/detonation. They only show how much degrees the car is pulling/advancing due to knock or lack thereof. Didn't actually read "counts of knock" till the most recent romraider update.

I tune for 0-3 count max, but the occasional fluke 5 count or so won't hurt anything, just performance. 10-14 count is completely unacceptable to me.

You hit nail on the head. I love to provide powerful and reliable tunes @ low boost first...then once I'm happy how the car runs on lower boost levels..we'll go ahead and turn it up.
My personal car is a fully built Evo..I have only been running it @ 29psi where it's ran 10.6 @ 138mph. I know the car is capable of much faster times at the same boost levels...so I wouldn't turn the boost up until I reach better numbers at the current boost level.
In the yellow Evo's case...I was honestly shocked how fast the MPH was. On the 22-23psi tune I was thinking a 112-114mph trap speed..especially given the 90+ degree night. The 117.96 trap tells me everything is working efficiently, the owner is extremely happy...I'm ok with turning the boost up at this point. BTW...I logged both passes via Evoscan...each run yielded 1 knock count in the middle of 1st gear...the rest was smooth as butter. This car is a daily driven mode of transportation..the owner like to punch it in the middle of the day when it's 100 degrees out...so I like to keep it safe.
Thanks for the compliments on this Evo...it's come a long way...before he brought it to us it ran a 14.4 @ 96mph.
