AMS 35R 22psi pump gas 8th mile shakedown runs

Well the best I managed of the night was a 7.32 ET with a best MPH of 98.48MPH. Best 60ft of the night was a 1.69 and was on my 7.32 pass. On this pass I had hit revlimit before the traps on the run before trapping 7.40 @98MPH and change.. SO I had decided to go to 4th gear and see what that got me.. WELL I got all antsy and hit 4th WAY too early "about 7600RPM" and bogged the car down and lost about 2MPH from all my other runs with a 95.98mph trap speed and a 7.32 ET... I could kick myself in the nuts for not going ahead and turning up my revlimiter and goin through the traps in 3rd.. as im sure it would have netted me my goal of 7.2 at 100mph. But oh well theres always next time

Mod list.
The car is stock weight with a 12 inch sub and big ol heavy box and amp in the back to help weigh it down and go slower along with my 18x9 wheels and the ever so sticky cheap ass nexxon 3000 tires

lol. Bottom end is completly stock 60k miles with a AMS GT35R kit, AMS turbo back EX, AMS FMIC, Jun 272 cams, supertech dual springs, stock unported TB/intake, stock ECU with my custom flash on 93 octane pump gas. This is the way I drive it everyday so I wanted to see what it would do in this trim. Next time out I will be on higher boost and some better fuel and MORE PRACTICE!! I hope to hit my goal of high 6s at 103-105MPH.

Here are the only and last 2 passes of the night that the old lady got on film. Of course she didnt get my 7.40 and my 7.32

1st pass here on vid is a 7.55 @ 98.48mph bogged the launch to a 60ft of 1.84. 2nd pass here I spun it to a 1.88 60ft and managed a 7.53 @96.7 mph. All in all not bad for the 1st time at the track on just 22psi and some good ol 93 octane. I hope to have some vids of it hitting my goal on 110 fuel and 30psi.

PS. Sorry for the crappy vid quality.. This was a last moment decision to run my car and all we had was our regular camera.. We didnt have our video cam on us...

very impressive adam, sounds like you're power shifting it too...nice. 4th gear = poo in the 1/8th with our gearing lol spin until you win!

I was lift shifting but I wasnt doin it slow

Once I get this 2nd gear grind issue out of the trans I will no lift it all the way down the track FTW!!

i have mine in 4th... the evil tranny grind... now its going to be the buschwacker ftw!!! (once i get the $$$ of course....)

Mine had the evil 4th gear grind and this inconsistant 2nd gear grind when I got the car.. I have had the trans at sheps 3 times and at TRE once.. TRE said to change the cables and there bracket so thats what im doin. 4th gear is perfect now but 2nd gear is hit or miss.. itll grind one time and not the other. VERY odd... But has been doin that in 2nd since i bought the car...
