nah these cars don't seem to have the oiling issues the 3/S has.

Well, it's actually a 4g63 thing too. Spinning the motor up to a high rev, which empties the oil pan of oil without sufficient time for it to drain back to the pan. I've seen some that guys run a -10 from the bottom of the head around the block back to the pan.

are you talking about the DSM or the EVO 4g63? maybe that's a problem of the past because I don't hear anyone talking about it.

From what I understand, even the 4B11 does it as well as a number of other manufactures. It has to do with the pump spinning so fast that the pressure relief valve can't keep up so all the oil goes through the motor and just can't drain down fast enough. (IIRC Shep is the one with the big drains) Some of the guys have bored out the PRV hole trying to prevent this, not sure if it all worked out or what their findings were. I was hoping you could shed some more light on the subject honestly.

seems like I'd be hearing all about this by now as hard as I've run my car. maybe it's a road course thing? I typically drive straight under power.
