I never said bolts ons didnt count. Hell yes they help tremendously.
Bolt ons only have taken me from 13.39@103 to 12.09@111 Ill let you use your imagination as to what my best time is on the bottle.

Gm terminology = bolt ons are 'required' before you go internal with the motor.. Its a step by step process.. You wouldnt throw a cam in there w/o putting headers/intake on first because you wont see much gain if any at all (depending on the size of the cam of course).. Reason being is airflow has to be increased in certain areas before you can actually get the power you want out of a cam..
It would be like Mellon bolting on a 35r and not getting larger injectors/pump or just using the stock air box/exhaust.. The mods have to work together to actually get the achieved power..
