stock Z06 has a curb weight of 3132 and a power to weight ratio of 6.2 lbs per pony. It's got huge tires stock and it's NA so no lag and gobs of torque. It's a great car right off the showroom floor and puts down some respectable numbers. 240 has an open diff and skinny ass tires not to mention turbo lag if you want to play with a Z06. Not saying it can't be done, I just don't think it's gonna be as easy as people are making it seem in this thread.

Ask forrest how easy it was.. Also, we're talking about c5's, not c6's..
Also, the diff can be welded and tires can be upgraded..

Oh, well that changes things, I've roasted several C5 Z06's in the FD. The C6 is a much better car.

Ive been seeing quite a few c5's lately.. but still, it doesnt take much to get these to trap ~120..

what does a stock c5 z06 trap and don't give me the worlds fastest one with drag radials and bolt ons...I'm talking about real world average, what you're likely going to run into.

 , plenty of people with 240's weld the diff.. Its a whole lot cheaper than buying a $1k diff and they hold up pretty good.. Its also a hell of a lot better than the stock open diff..
The average c5 z06 traps ~112-114.. The fastest STOCK one, trapped ~119..

Yeah it would be terrible driving it on the street. Welded diff clashes with the laws of physics.
