Interesting to know that Chris. The way my friends use DSMlink is take away fuel, add timing. See knock, add fuel or take away timing.

^ nothing wrong with letting knock be your guide...I start with a conservative timing/fuel map. Then I start getting the fuel about right and if there's still no knock I ease up the boost 2psi at a time until I reach my target which depends on the turbo/fmic etc.. Then I get the AFR close to perfection and again if there's no knock start ramping up the timing and tweaking the fuel as needed to keep it where I want it. If I find a hair of knock I'll back the timing off usually but if that would make the timing flat or retarded I might add a little more fuel instead.. It's quite simple really, just tedious and time consuming.
