Shoutbox disabled for testing
I'm trying to figure out why the server is sluggish and have turned off the shoutbox to see if it's the culprit...so far it seems to be running smoother.

I tuned the shoutbox back on and again the CPU usage went through the roof as the chat got busy.
I upgraded to the latest mysql and did a few tweaks to the caching but it didn't seem to help much. I turned off the shoutbox again to free up cpu usage because now I'm compiling new version of php and it will take up to an hour to complete. After that I'm also going to install eAccelerator to see if that helps. stay tuned, I hope to have the shoutbox back on ~ 8pm cst tonight
