Eh, I don't write off everyone I see with shorts on as a moron. When I am just running uptown or something sometimes I'll wear shorts if it's nice out. If I plan on hitting any speeds over about 40 mph or any curves at all, it's gotta be pants. On a nice 80 degree day though the feeling of riding in shorts and a shirt are amazing... just not worth the risk imo if you're doing anything serious.
